It would also kill two birds with one stone by elegantly helping with the nonbinary parents as well, and while I'm a *gender binary scum^tm* representation is still nice no matter how valid one think it is.

Out of curiosity, are there any studies or articles on nonbinary parenting? Obviously, it's happened, is happening, and will happen, but by pure statistics it can't be very common. I'm curious mainly about the subsequent conceptions of gender from the child - does the influence of the parent(s) outweigh the rest of society's?

You must be really good at avoiding TVTropes if you don't know what "bowdlerizer" means.

Though "bowdlerize" was on my brother's vocabulary assignment just yesterday. Also, "circumlocutory", which I taught him the meaning of two days beforehand because that's how I speak when I'm tired (in a manner approaching the incomprehensible due to a lack of effort into selecting vocabulary for conveying messages; 5 words going into what could be said with one word, each word being some obscure polysyllable. It's annoying to everyone, including me.)

Also, Stratocaster is a guitar brand. Fender is the manufacterer that makes Stratocasters. I have one in the room right now. It's nice.

It's not, but since the test compares you to other people that take it (and theoretically collects data for the NSA some study) it doesn't matter if you got it wrong since most other people also do.

Rickenbacker and stratocaster are both rather famous names in guitar, dutchling. To the point that, yeah, they're kinda' common knowledge, stratocasters especially.

... neither do I. Nor do most of the several hundred people I've personally seen exposed to both names, multiple times, over the course of my life. Some things you pick up by cultural osmosis. The pair's been notably present in (english language, anyway) media for a few decades now. Don't think they pop up as often nowadays, but a substantial portion of, at least, anyone older than probably sixteen, seventeen or so, will probably have heard the names come up enough time to recognize them.
