Apparently vegemite basically just tastes like salt. Just... salt.

I guess I can sympathize, I've occasionally dabbed soy or teriyaki sauce on bread and had a slice. Is like salted bread plus actual flavor.

Britain has their own version, Marmite which apparently has a stronger taste. Also funny because Vegemite is now owned by an American company, Kraft (or apparently "Mondelēz International" as it's known now).

It's salty, similar texture to Nutella but thicker. I find it's better mixed with butter, smooths out the strong taste. I wouldn't recommend eating it on it's own, that's just blech. I do prefer honey on toast.

Don't even mention Marmite. Vegemite is best.
It goes well with pretty much anything. Scrambled eggs, nutella, peanut butter, doubtless a whole heap of other things.
I like it with butter or without.

... but it's basically just soy sauce, apparently. As a spread? Which. Okay, soy's pretty good. But it's... ultimately just another form of salt. That's not terribly impressive.

I'll stick with soy, m'self, I think. When I'm not using some form of bullion or something else with more flavor beyond "salty". Easier to use a liquid.

Ace Combat Infinity has a mission where you fight a red-painted giant airship. I thought the red paint was a reference to the second oldest/latest game, Ace Combat 2/Assault Horizon Legacy and its Z.O.E. Instead, I found out that it's a reference to CHAAAAAAAAAR.
