Merely out of spite, mind you.
If you're going to help your death and suffering along out of spite, at least do it with booze and whores. The tobacco industry doesn't need more money. Alcohol's bad enough, but at least it isn't as heavily tied into screwing over the drug laws in the states.

Or at least grow your own tobacco or something. Be somewhat less likely to kill you that way, even.

Yea, I'm going to set up my own funeral. With whores, and blackjack!

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I am also rather pleased that someone is spending money putting amusing cartoons in adverts.

This morning the BNP put a leaflet through the door.

I think they've actually given up. On it they promised to ban the burqa because it's "threatening and offensive", and to stop immigration. As in, all of it.

Trying to go to sleep last night, and noticed my foot was itching. I turn on the light, and find a good amount of the skin peeling off. Other foot was fine.

Man, everyone's always so quick to accept any old overlords these days. At least Kent Brockman waited until the ants showed up in space.

Which makes me wonder: does Google have any sort of actual physical presence in space yet?

I mean things like starting on the (relative) 3rd fret of the scale instead of the first, which by itself you 14 shapes in total (if you want to count Locrian).

I'm not sure if I'm understanding you right. If you start on a third note in a scale, you get the shape of the mode two steps later, so Phrygian for Ionian or Dorian for Aeolian.

I mean, for example, playing a C major scale starting on C on the A string, so that the D played immediately after is open on the D string.

That's how I play minor scales in general, usually, starting on (with the example of F minor) the eighth fret of the A string, moving on to the 5th fret of the D string, then the 6 and 8th frets of the D string and so on from there.

But if you played it (on A) 5-x-8 then (on D) 5-6-8 you can read it as playing either Phrygian or Locrian's shape (where a mode's shape would be the equivalent of the scale as it would be played in A starting from 5th fret on low E to 7th fret on D), depending on whether x is 6 or 7, just starting from a minor third.

We are doomed. It's just that whatever is going to kill us all just happens to be, from a scientific standpoint, pretty frickin' awesome.

British National Party. They're basically racist assholes. They were the guys who started up the Bradford Riots and stuff, and are generally "RULE BRITTANIA! (AND FUCK EVERYONE ELSE)"
