I'd play a FtP game based off Castle Fight.

Dota 2 should have castle fight soon after it gets custom games.

(Nobody will complain if you get it only for custom games and play League outside of it, I'd hope)

MOBA is a fairly shitty name if you take it literally, but the meaning of a word is defined by its use. Anyone with more than five braincells knows what a MOBA is like and what defines it. The name won't tell you what a MOBA entails, but you can just google it. Roguelike doesn't tell you what a roguelike entails, either. Just that it's like Rogue, an obscure game made ages ago that no newcomer to the genre will know.

I mean seriously, I have found literally nothing indicating that you can learn it that way aside from some offhand mentions that the patterns repeat without any useful details.
