It is a parody. Note the author. It's a reference to Ken Akamatsu who's famous for making harem series. Not to mention the art has the traits of a style seen on webcomics which try to imitate manga style art but retain some qualities of western styles.

I'm reasonably sure that most people are that way, and Tumblrites just play up to a massive degree how important gender is.
