Ah, Neopets.
Pretty much my introduction to the internet. I remember it fondly.
I just wish I hadn't lost my account... Bloody early-days internet and easily-lost email addresses.

I really only used my Neopets account to play that awesome Hannah game.

I remember asking my dad to fax (!) some form or so so that i could acces some more neopets stuff. Nothing ever came from it, even though faxing was apparently the way to go. Good times.

I recall that they had some decent minigames, but some real crap ones too. I liked that they used the whole site pet thing to tie all the minigames together and make playing them matter - whereas just wandering around the internet playing flash games doesn't actually add up to any kind of score or whatever. Some sites do have XP and levels for your account, such as Newgrounds or Kongregate, which is kinda neat.

But in the end, if it's a crap game ...

Neopets had some weird stuff going on though. I remember visiting an enormous omelet every day and peeling off a chunk. And turning off images in my browser so I could load the shops quicker and snipe up items I wanted to buy before they sold out immediately after respawn.

Shop-camping. Man.

So fuckin' fun, I've even played it in person with people once or twice! I NEVER do that!
