Make sure you got all the fuzz out of the mesh thing, that's already a fire hazard without spray cans being involved.

You misspelled seance.  Are possessing Draignean?  Are you actually a ghost in the shell? You have to tell us if you are, that's the rule

Only one way to find out!
Convince someone across the seas to try it, so on the off chance the resulting conflagration burns the entire continent to the ground, at least I have a nice fire-resistant ocean between me and the inferno?

Preferably somewhere in Australia. It's a hot country and full of flammable things. It'll also get rid of all the nasty monsters that live there.

My uncle came to visit with his laptop in hand.
I learned that he absolutely despises antivirus software becasue someone told him that antivirus software is in reality a backdoor for viruses.

Now he goes around telling everyone that since he stopped using firewalls/AV software he never had a malvare problem.

I just don't even...
Actually, you're generally fine without 3rd party antivirus software. All you really need is an adblock plugin for your browsers. Outside of spear phishing attacks, which are highly targeted, high effort affairs, you basically won't get any viruses if you block ads, don't go opening your spam emails, and don't download sketchy attachments or software, and have an up to date OS. Outside of those things, you really won't get a virus unless someone is explicitly targeting you. And chances are, the average user has enough exploits on their machine that a targeted attack would own them even with an antivirus program.

There's some sense to the no need for antivirus.  They do slow your system down slightly, and people who know what they are doing are very low risk.
    • There's still other people who are not as knowledgeable that need them.
    • And then if you share a household with folks like that you need one as well in case a worm they hits you through the network or if you need to transfer files between computers.
    • And there's also the chance that someone else may use your computer, or even yourself may browse to an undesirable site while looking for something that just has an unfortunate name. (I was on a job hunt looking for a local tech company that it turns out shares most of their name with a porn site)
    • Or a legitimate site such as bay 12 could get broken into and made to distribute badness before it's caught.
    • And then if you do catch something through any of those means an antivirus might be able to inform you.

There's a reason to not have an antivirus, but the benefit is minor and I don't feel it's worth the risk, even to someone who knows what they are doing.

I like having an AV just to be sure, and to catch adware/PUPs that hitchhike onto my computer through installers of legit companies that have been bought out.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.
