I'm going to say NSFW here. Not because it's pornographic or violent or anything, but... just NSFW okay?
Dafuq?

That's a popular given name in some ethnic groups.

* kaijyuu checks out the facebook gender thingy

All I see are three options: "Female, Male, Custom" (custom lets you put in any arbitrary thing). Also an option for pronouns (he, she, them).

Is there something I'm missing?

Just the number of available terms in "Custom", most of which are redundant (cis male, cis man/cis female, cis woman, which anyone who isn't an SJW already would just use male/female for already, are particularly strange)

Ah, custom isn't a normal text field. Got it.

I can certainly see someone using the cis options if they want to highlight someone else they know as trans. Past that yeah I don't see them getting much legitimate use.

EDIT: I was actually considering using a cis option, but I'm afraid people would see me as being a transphobe using it ironically, heh.

I wish it was a custom text field, just to see what bizarre terms people would put for their gender. "Banana man"?

Used that IWL thing, and run something from my worldbuilding stuff through it. Apparently I write like David Foster Wallace, whoever that is.

It says I do too, which makes me just a tiny bit suspicious.

EDIT: After reading some of Mr. Wallace's work, I think it's correct.

EDIT 2: It seems to be well-calibrated. It has correctly picked out Wells, Orwell, and the aforementioned Wallace from single paragraphs of their work. It has a bit more trouble with Tolkien, apparently thinking he's Stephen King.

After checking some more of my writing, it can't seem to decide whether i write like Tolkein or Wallace

I think it picks out key words.

I had a brief skim over that, but didn't find anything I'd heard of.

It seems to experience some confusion as to whether I'm Palahniuk or Lovecraft: the former's writing is always described as minimalist, while Lovecraft is purple prose at its finest. What?

I seem to write like William Gibson... Whoever he is :P
