I was trying to find an adapter to allow me to plug something that normally goes into a car's cigarette lighter - a small air compressor - into a wall outlet. Finally found one at RadioShack... for $61. The air compressor was $12. Honestly, I expected an adapter to be cheaper than the device I intend to use it for. I also found a plug to recharge an old portable DVD player I've had for a while that I've never been able to use, in the $15-$20 range(expected cost was ~$5).

Both of my parents were philosophy students in college, my mom majoring, my dad minoring. One day, when driving through Kansas City, we drove past a place with a banner above it that said something about a Scientology open house or somesuch.

Gosh, I haven't debated against eugenics in forever!

EDIT: My parents hate Scientology with a passion. They refused to pay to see the new Mission: Impossible because they didn't want to support Tom Cruise. My mom works at the local theater, however, so we eventually got to see it for free.

I just remembered. While I was there, I checked something out. Miku's signature item is a spring onion, not a leek. Those are two different vegetable.
