Think of it this way, if they decide to not pay you, I'm sure there is some way you can call them out on it legally.

Not entirely sure due to never having had a job more than 'mow the lawn' or 'take out trash/recycle' so don't take my word on it.

Oh man, I can remember that line. So weirdly hypnotic, amidst the sounds of hacking, slashing, goblin death cries and screams of pain.
That line seems to have imprinted itself on my memory. :o

My WTF is how useless I seem to be these days. Having three-four hours to do something seems like a rush.

Yeah, you can legally call them on it up here in Canuckistan (I'm assuming you can in America. But then, that'd be common sense, and not "losehopeinhumanity", so obviously the American workforce doesn't have that privilege)

But I said no to them, and have been paid for everything I've done with them. Really, I expected never to have to give two shits about them in the future.

Can the girl pens write in a different font? That I want to see.

Girls only can write in the font pink.
I've always wondered why or who in the world dictated that certain colors are only meant for certain genders >.>

I mean, boys wear pink and its all right.

It's not like pink is radioactive or something. :I

It's a relatively recent thing too. I mean, last century or the one before recent. Before that, pink and blue were genderswapped.

There was interesting symbolism behind it, too; pink was manly because of the connotations of blood and the related martial concepts, while blue was originally the color of wedding gowns, being connected to the concepts that are now symbolically associated with white in western culture (purity, piety, etc.). White only took off as a color for wedding gowns after Queen Victoria married in a white gown.

So yeah, real men don't wear pink because they're MANLY, they wear pink because they're MANLY and have you ever tried getting blood out of your clothes it's easier to just keep it there and show off how MANLY you are.

There are two ways to go about it. One, you can inform the US Department of Labor, who will in turn crack down on your employer and get your wages (a couple of mom'n'pop shops and temp agencies I've worked for,) or you can drag them over a desk by their necktie and choke them out until they turn blue (a vacuum sales shop that lied to me repeatedly about what the job was. I was already fairly upset with them.) Both have worked for me, but the first one is usually the best way to do it.

Well... from the radio, heard people talking about Fantasy Football/Games.  Then one of em quipped about a Fantasy Lawmaker game.

I googled it, but it doesn't seem to exit.  I would so play Fantasy Lawmaker.

I just realized that I'm sort of a dick when someone annoys me right after I wake up. Today was yet another instance of the "evangelicals all over campus pushing pocket-sized bibles on everyone they can" event, and I arose with a headache this morning. At the fifth encounter I finally got sick of it and accepted one with a smile and a hearty "Hail Lucifer!" instead of a "No thanks, sir. Have a nice day.". Upon being glared at furiously, I asked, "Oh, you're giving out the Old Testament too?"

Part of me wishes I could take that back, but part of me thinks that it was bloody hilarious.

I find pretty much no fault in your actions.

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

But today I met someone whose name was Grommit

I didn't know that was a real name.
