Kinda raged a bit, but after cooling off and thinking about it from the meter guy's point of view it's more a WTF paired with mild annoyance.

Water guys came and changed the water meter. While putting a note on the door they apparently turned the hose in the front porch on and left it on.  I come home and see the hose running.

The valve for the hose is behind a bush, I reach behind the bush to shut it off and bam, sharp pain straight up my arm.  Wasp nest in the bush.  Well now I know why it wasn't turned off afterward...

WTF guys, I know you were just making sure you didn't screw it up, but I'm pretty sure stuff like this is why yer not supposed to just go turning hoses on without saying anything to anybody.  I mean hell, I don't care if you left it on afterwards, I would call that a damn good reason, but if yer gunna leave that on at least put a note or something with yer water meter change notice warning me of the nest so I don't get stung too.
