I just watched the most pointless Romantic Comedy Ever

It is about this woman who is unappreciated, hates her job, and has a boyfriend who isn't right with her.

It ends with her quitting her job and leaving her boyfriend.

Which isn't a problem except she doesn't do any of these things under her own volition. It is her love interest who goes out and SHOWS that her boyfriend isn't any good for her and losing the job has no consequence.

Thank GOODNESS her Boyfriend was a scumbag or else there would have been complications.

It was a movie where nothing was learned and there were no consequences.

I don't know why you were watching a ROMANTIC COMEDY of all things and expecting decent, well-thought-out plot or whatever. Those things are often the scourge of modern cinema. That and anything by Seltzer and Friedberg.

I was browsing through the list of people on Steam named Sirus (apparently its a fairly common name. Who knew?), and I saw someone with the EXACT SAME profile picture as me. This prompted an immediate change to my own, since I don't want to be mistaken for some other Sirus.

One odd thing about watching shows involving invasion is that often the invasion is rather pathetic and cannot possibly succeed.

Yet there are ways to do it. For example one movie I watched recently involved an invasion that couldn't possible succeed but the point was that they would seriously damage the town before they were taken out.

Then there was Chaotic which has the unique status of being the ONLY invasion, in a single episode the Chaotic universe invades our own, where the logical result does in fact occur... Chaotic, a world with magical monsters and steam punk-esk tech and magitech, loses handily. Even the most powerful creatures in the show weren't powerful enough to take down simple battalions of tanks.

Then there is of course series based on preventing invasions from beings who... aren't threatening... at all. Hotwheels Battle Force 5 involves three factions and of those three, two are pathetic. The third comes way later and are genuinely threatening (not in a invasion force sort of way... that would get destroyed) but that comes from their ability to possibly remotely destroy the earth.
