This happens to me a lot with books. The story is absolutely fascinating, the writing puts me to sleep. I actually couldn't even get into one of my favorite books until I penetrated the writers thick and confusing style.

No, the everything is good but it takes 15 minutes for the scene to change and oh god so many unexplained stuff and the music whyyyyy

I don't know about you guys, but I didn't really find it THAT boring. Sure, the long shots of a spaceship flying around for ten minutes gets a bit old, but I still enjoyed it. Although when I tried to watch it with a group of friends in the middle of the night, they DID fall asleep within the first thirty minutes...

I heard the director for 2001 A Space Odessy tried to do something different and weird, and it didn't work out.  Probably because that director sucked. The sequel, 2010 Odyssey Two is WAY better, though a little campy at the end.

I can sit through it if I eat a lot of sugar, but those longass bleached shots of landscapes colored different colors always put me to sleep. What happens at the end?
