Yeah. I was able, at 3, to open a lock I had never before been able to open, walk across the yard to my grandparent's place, and complain about something about there was no soda left.

You can do more than you can awake, while sleepwalking.

During their reaction time, the Australians like to play a spot of cricket against the British. It was a good way of keeping their spirits up. Owing to some occupation hazards of the time, special rules needed to be drawn up in order to adapt to situation.

July 30, 1941 - Rules of cricket between Australia 's 20th Brigade and Britain 's 107 Royal Horse Artillery

Rule 2. Play to be continuous until 1800 hours, except by interference by air raids. Play will NOT, rpt NOT cease during shell fire.

Rule 4. Shirts, shorts, long socks, sand shoes if available. ITI (Italian) Helmets will not be worn or any other fancy head gear. Umpires will wear white coat (if available) and will carry loaded rifle with fixed bayonet.

Rule 6. All players to be searched for concealed weapons before start of play, and all weapons found, other than S T grenades, Mills bombs, & revolvers will be confiscated. (This does not apply to umpires.)

Rule 8. Manager will make medical arrangements & have ambulance in attendance.

The Australian soldiers had shown great mental strength in Tobruk, but there were physiological limits that their mind could not push their body through. In response to reports their health had been suffering, in the summer of 1941, John Curtin, the Australian Prime Minister, ordered the withdrawal of Australian troops. As they were withdrawn, they were replaced by British, Polish and Czech soldiers. A short time late, the city fell.

This is odd. Despite the hotel's wireless network telling me that I have an internet connection, I can't connect to anything. My roommate can. Gonna try a restart after these malware scans finish.

EDIT: Seems I got blocked because this hotel apparently has rather strict bandwidth limits I wasn't aware of :<
I got service restored, but stuff like Youtube and Steam (at least as far as downloads go) are out unless I feel like spending my limited free time hunting around a strange city for some other access point.

I often encode raw video into MP4 format with my door closed, but today I did it with my door open. With my door closed, the cores get up to 75C. With the door open, they haven't gone past 55C.

I was expecting a difference, but not that much of a difference.

Anything else in you room that could be putting out heat? Obviously the cooling system will work better with a cooler ambient temperature in the room, so if you have any other computers/etc you should probably turn them off if you want to keep the door closed.

When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

There's another computer, but it's usually off. The only other source of heat is me, which makes sense. 'Cause, y'know, I'm so hot.

I turned off my music before I went to sleep.
I woke up to it still playing.
There has been a toolbox in front of the door during the entire duration of the event and it hasn't moved.
The window opens from the inside and even then is ridiculously difficult to push of.
I am so very confused.
I had a similar experience when I was younger. At the time, the "in" thing was those digimon tamagotchis you needed to shake to advance. Well, we were supposed to walk, but everyone shaked the things 'cause it was faster.
Anyway, I went to bed with like 3000 "steps" left before the boss, and woke up with less than 2000.
That was one big WTF for me. (As far as I know I never sleepwalked)

I know that I sleepwalked because of being told about it.
The weirdest thing I probably did was get out my NDS and phone chargers and wrap them in a weavey sort of pattern around the leg of my computer chair. It must have taken a while.

I did a flip off of the top bunk of my bed in my sleep and landed on my feet...   I am a amazing sleepwalker.    I did fall over and smash my head on the chest of drawers next to my bed though, so there's that.

I just realized I'm not the least bit scared of clowns, despite having seen the It movies at night in a marathon when I was very young.

Usually that would scar people for life. Or atleast make them freaked out by clowns.

Not everyone develops associative fear or develops it in the same way.

I for example am afraid to enter water with fish, but I am not afraid of fish or being around them.

Once I got up in the middle of the night, walked through my apartment, and peed in my toybox. (I was really young)
My mom woke me up, and I never sleep walked again. You do crazy stuff when you sleep walk.

My brother used to sleepwalk.  I once woke up just as he came walking into my bedroom crying.  He walked over to my dressed, opened up the middle drawer, peed in it, stopped crying, and went back to his bed.

There are people who are anti-pornography. I have never heard of this. Why would anyone think that:
1: Pornography is bad
2: People would give it up

My sister once sleepwalked and got herself dressed up, packed her bag and tried to leave for school in the middle of the night. Luckily my mom heard her fumbling with the door and stopped her in time .
