It isn't that he doesn't have good points, it is just that once he makes a good point he goes to insanity land.

Anyway, they don't bleed when I touch or brush them. They bleed when I floss or remove food that's been stuck for too long.

the bandaid comment was a pretty good joke, no?

Yeah, my dentist said that generally, some bleeding after flossing means you're doing it right, rather than the pansy softie way of just running some string between your teeth without any real effect whatsoever.

Though if your mouth starts gushing ketchup everywhere like a broken fountain spews water then it might be a problem worth getting checked out. Otherwise you're prolly fine.

(Post-edit: I got like, seven ninjas, jeez.)

Yeah but he didn't write that article it is just on his site.
Still, it's on his site. That automatically makes it horrible.
So, anything written on Jack Chick's site is automatically horrible? But what if it's something like "be nice to other people"? Does the site universally alter the morality of actions?

What untold power!

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Yes. Normally I'd try to make an exception, but that site knows no good thing. Ever.

Ohh my goodness... The Gem of that article the GOLDEN gem is the section dedicated as a counter argument to anyone who argues against the article.

The first is just incredulous.

He basically says that saying that he knows NOTHING about dungeons and dragons is a lazy argument and Ad hominem... No saying you are an idiot is ad hominem, saying you don't know anything about dungeons and dragons (and given that you listed a Paladin as a sub-type of a warrior in 2001) is basically attacking your credentials.

It's a rule with no exceptions because there are no exceptions.

Anything he puts on his site is terrible, so we assume everything on his site is terrible, so he could say something not terrible, but he never does.

If he says he doesn't know much about D&D and then argues about it, he feels the need to point out he's not a demon cultist (or whatever it is this time). You know what this sounds like? >:3

Denial.

Anyhow the main crux of his argument is basically that fiction rewires your brain so that you start to think the same way as that fiction. So if you were an actor, you start thinking like the characters, and if you pretended to be a princess you start to think like a Princess.

So when a Christian starts playing dungeons and dragons he starts to think of the world as that without God and where he can cast spells.

That is basically the pillar his arguments sit on. Which personally I have no issue with, as much as there are logical issues with such, since it is part of his dogma but the other things he includes just jumps off the deep end.

I can respect someone having a different opinion on something that I love even if that opinion is that it is "Evil" so long as that person doesn't misrepresent it or have a highly uninformed opinion that they are treating as informed.

Yeah.

Well Method acting is against Christianity according to the dictates of that article UNLESS you are acting as someone who lives in a world and personality acceptable towards the bible.

Well a Herp of magnitude 10 is 10000000000 times larger then a herp of magnitude 0.

I could only read it to the point he begin to explain why roleplay is brainwashing, then my neural sensors for bullshit screamed all the alarms and I closed the tab.
Herp magnitude 8.5, cannot process...

Pffft... PFFFT.
AHAHAHAHA!

I may be Christian, but Jack Chick is always good for a laugh.
Especially when they start handing out his comic strips outside of my school.
That's the funniest.
