Dunno why you couldn't use joints as currency, m'self- they're a lot less weird than some of the stuff humans have used as currency (cowrie shells come to mind), and, of course, production and "minting" is decentralized- there's no equivalent of a Ben Bernanke to impose socialism on the land when any guy with a grow light can set his own interest rates.

I honestly don't think a society composed entirely of madly intoxicated stoners would turn out to be very capable. I'd have to stick to the non-stoners side.

I do like the idea of using marijuana grenades to subdue crowds, though. Some could be a lot less rambunctious whilst intoxicated.

I would pay to watch what happens when they run out of pot.
Actually... no, I wouldn't pay.  I would buy a fleet of blimps, steal from the Federal Pot Reserve, and sell seats on the blimps.  That way I can make money, watch the ensuing collapse of society, and have a lot of pot to sell for even more money.  I might even be able to see it BACK to the Union of Confederate Potheads for some military hardware.
