There... are some online transcript things, but several of the colleges around this state don't do them. You're legally required to have a signature in order to get an official transcript sent, which means that it's either fax time (<5 minute drive) or in person (>60 minute drive). Usually you have to send in a signed request to the college in question and then the transcript transfer between campuses are handled by the schools, either electronically or via fax.

Actually, neither of the schools I was dealing with today, either the one I'm going to be enrolling in or the one I was getting a transcript from, accepts in-person transcripts at all. You can't get a copy and then give it to 'em in person. Or, well. You can and then have the transcript thrown out *vague shrug*.

But yeah, you can print out a transcript request -- that's what I did. But then that had to be signed and sent to the college the transcript was coming from. Problem was the signature, not getting the request itself.

Scan to a PDF and e-mail it?

Didn't accept email requests either -- mailed, in person, or faxed was it. Anything else just thrown out. Important part was the signature, so that might have got through, but... bureaucracy being what it is, that's doubtful.

Seriously though, I don't have a printer or scanner and insofar as I'm aware the public places don't have scanners (or fax machines, o'course). It was fax via commercial service or trip, and well. Three bucks and a bit versus twelve-fifteen in gas for the round trip (plus a ~two hour drive vs ~5 minute one). Not really a choice.

 ... why would I scan it to a PDF, though? Just send a couple .pngs or somethin'. Still have to print out, sign, and scan in, but... eh. PDFs are a pain in the ass.

I've noticed that many people not in the know seem to think PDFs are some kind of un corruptible data format that can't be falsified in any way and will often not take anything else seriously.

Not true of course, but PDFs tend to look a little more professional anyway.  So I tend to submit big scans in to class or work related stuff as PDFs whenever possible.

Seriously, mailed, in person, or faxed is all they accept? You might just need to mail it.

... I faxed it, yesterday. Note I mentioned commercial service. Ended up swinging by a nearby UPS shop, which was the closest thing offering fax service to me. Ended up a bit more than three bucks for two pages faxed (the request and a copy of the driver's license for signature confirmation) and the transcript request itself printed and a copy of the license made. Which was... a little overpriced compared to what was offered at my last school (Would have been about two fiddy or so total, iirc.), but... yeah. Cheaper than traveling and a hell of a lot faster than snail mail.

Bit more expensive than snail mail (but not by too much... would have had to snapped up envelopes from somewhere, too, and still needed to print the transcript and copy the license), but "that day" instead of "probably sometime next week" was kinda' important in this case. Registration opens next week, ha. Was already admitted for some reason despite not having all the transcripts in, but they couldn't start seeing what credit hours transferred until they all got through. And the sooner that's done, the sooner I'm aware of exactly what I have to take to get what I'm after.

People's reactions to my artwork still confuse me to this day.  When people see me working, they jump in suddenly even if they hate drawing and start telling what to do, where to do it, what brush to use and the proper way to arrange my windows in Photoshop.  Even people who admittedly hate drawing do it too.  I thought drawing was about learning your own way to approach something, not boss other people around when they aren't doing it your way. o_O

You should probably use the rounded rectangle tool more.  It would improve your art immensely.  I also see a distinct lack of the text insert.

Probably because it's only two colours, that would cut down the file size immensely.
