Although I somewhat dislike 4chan, you have to admit that they sometimes do good things. There's plenty of stories out there how an Anon saw a bad video online (For example that video of someone throwing cats off a bridge, or something like that.) and did some research and found out who it was and reported them to the police.

Also a few stories of a person who was harassed in RL through 4chan or who got stalked through it as well.

It's almost like 4chan, like the police, is a bunch of individuals with individual goals and morals, rather than a single monolithic entity. Woulda thought?

Even if you want to...

I will never ever return to that demonic, devilish site. It's a corrupt wasteland of stagnant trolls and the dead, rotting carcasses of recently eviscerated newbs. A literal hellhole, in the sense that it's a hole that goes down to hell. No matter what good they do, it will always be drowned in the evil.

But 4chan isn't as bad as the Westboro Baptist Church.

That's my WTF for today. People expecting cops to be perfect saints, but when they inevitably aren't bitching that all cops are evil, amoral Nazis.

This is the thing. People justify the cops doing horrible things. The police see this and think, "Okay, I'm justified, because the public agrees with me."

I'm not saying that cops are "right" to hurt someone, I'm saying that they have the right to avoid getting hurt or killed. If someone is acting violent and I felt threatened, I would be within my rights to defend myself, sometimes even with lethal force.

Don't civilians have the right to avoid getting killed or hurt? I can cite plenty of cases where innocent people get the shit kicked out of them.

Does anyone really think that the cop who smashed someone's head in a Wal-Mart is gonna get off without a trial?

There might be a trial, but nothing serious will come of it.

What about the guy who blasted people with pepper spray? He's facing all sorts of punishments if it's determined that he acted inappropriately.

He's on administrative leave for a while, with no signal that any charges will ever get to him, though apparently one group is going to try to get an assault charge on him.

All I'm trying to say is that a few people here (not naming anyone) are claiming that all cops are vicious animals, when that's simply not true.

Name one person, please. I don't think anyone here has actually said anything about all cops being vicious or animalistic at all.

Dave, there are good things that come out of 4chan. It's not the greatest place, but it's not an entity solely comprised of evil.

Err, agreed. I don't see what's wrong with saying the word...porn. I mean, it's not like it's a curse word or anything. It's just another simple part of life. Maybe some people with different views see it as something dirty or evil, but I see nothing wrong with this. Sorry if it sounds like I'm starting a debate.
