Well, I get the gist of the basic argument, which is that "replayability", strictly speaking is present in EVERY game. In that you can play a game more than once, in the same way that you can watch a DVD more than once. But as a gaming term, it's come to encapsulate things like random level design, branching story paths, etc. Essentially the ability to play the game multiple times and get a different narrative or strategic experience out of it.

If the fact that we use words for things that are not their literal meaning bothers the dude, he should probably find a different language than English. We do that shit all the time (by which I do not mean we use fecal matter regularly).
