I have to admit I don't see the irony in that.
What's a strict society policy?

Generally, South Korea is considered even more socially hierarchical than the already very socially hierarchical Japan.

Eh, I dunno. I daresay it's the same or worse in Japan from what I've seen...
Also, cultural aspects in Japan, like the senpai social status also exist in Korea. :D

Well the difference is they still allow alot more foreign influence into their system and bend alot of traditional rules.

On the other hand, Japan is extremely closed to foreigners. The further from Japanese you seem, the more it is closed. xD
There isn't any absolute scale of which nation is stricter...

Also, what does this have to do with radical conservatives?

Environmentalism aside, Japan is generally seen as quite socially and fiscally conservative.

Depends on what kind of conservatism we're talking about. Hawkish viewpoints haven't been too popular there since WWII.

Got a guy a (an admittedly pretty crappy) job. He keeps running around calling African American people N words.... ??? ?

Then he bitches about how they fire him. I tell him, "[Name], you can't go running around calling every black person the N word!" He doesn't wanna listen.

God damn it, there's no helping somebody who does that kinda stupid shit. Now he wants me to get him another job? Screw that.

:( 'Course, now I look like an asshole for getting him the job in the first place.  "O, you know who you should help out Truean? So and so, he's blah blah blah blah blah." .... :) No good deed goes unpunished.

I don't think you should need a lawyer to tell you that :V

Racist? O_o Do you mean English?
Speaking Japanese will result in the other person trying to use English, ir givingyou a weird look and going away, or mistakening your presumably bad accent for a dialect of Korean and try to talk.

Japanese is similar in cadence to a dialect called Gyungsangdo saturi("dialect"). It's rather interesting.
:O

I didn't know that. I figured the white guy speaking Japanese would just be assumed to be someone who thought they were actually in Japan.

Hmm... I don't know much about Korea. I'd like to, though. East Asian countries in general intrest me; I really like the alien feeling I get seeing as I've not left America much and never left the West at all. Only places I've been that weren't America were around the Gulf of Mexico, so my direct exposure to other cultures has been only Spanish. And the difference between English/American culture and Spanish culture is nowhere near as different as America -> Japan or America -> Korea.

I'm an explorer with nowhere left unexplored. I guess I'm lucky just being nearby a different culture of people satisfies that urge. :P At least until a Mars Mission starts. I want on that one. SPAAAAAAAACE!

I meant Alien as in unfamiliar rather than a literal extraterrestrial. I don't get the feeling I'm explaining this well.  :(

It's not redundant. He detected that a detector of silliness did not do it's job.

Reading comprehension! :D
