I accidently told a joke where I said someone's real father was a punk (punk in description) and I found out they were actually adopted (making my joke in bad taste).

Luckly I didn't say my joke to the person but rather to someone else (where my joke was that I was making an unbelievable description of someone's father) so I am fine.

But WOW can you walk into unexpected bad jokes.

Nah. Some academics were wondering if Mississippi ever actually ratified it, and looked into it. When they found out a step was missed (Back in 1995...so not that long ago), they let people know and it got fixed.

It is a book about what happens when you force a group of young boys to read about a group of young boys living freely without accountability and doing what ever they want, rather than listening to a dull teacher drone on in a stuffy English classroom.

Or was that just what I was thinking while reading it... I forget.

Maybe it's just the fact I had to read it in school...

It's the only book the teacher's assigned that I'm actually reading. I'm a very good/lucky guesser and I knew the basic plot of Odysseus so it's been working out.

I was some what annoyed that such a book got onto the state educations reading list, meaning to schools bought hundreds of copies of this book, supporting that asshole Orson Scott Card.

What's really fun is if you're reading it on your own in 4th grade. First book to give me actual nightmares, though they didn't last nearly as long as the surreal ones generated by certain Sherlock Holmes stories that progressed from being subtly off to outright it's-full-of-stars mindfuckery. That was a bizarre time of my life.
