Liar!

And he's not the only one - there are clones all over the world:

I count 9 or 10 Kim Jong-sungs so far.

NPR: "North Korea Says Its Archaeologists Discovered A 'Unicorn Lair' "

Definitely wrong, because we all know unicorns are never found in lairs. I've seen the raws.
My reaction was surprise. North Korea has archaeologists?!
Of course! Just like it has Volcanologists to find out about how Kim Jong-il was born in a Volcano or something.
Wait a minute - they told me volcanoes were born from Kim Jong-Il :O
No, you're thinking of Kim Jong-sung.

NK, honestly, I want to be afraid of you, I wish you were actually threatening, I mean, you should be considering you spend a quarter/half of your total GDP on your military, but god damn if you don't sound like a five-year old claiming to be Voldemort and waving around a stick screaming CRUCIO CRUCIO!

The only real threat is that they're nuclear, and I'm 90% sure if they tried to nuke South Korea they'd end up bombing Japan. Partially because NK's aim is comparable to my baby cousins knowledge of theoretical physics and partially because Japan is a magnet for nuclear accidents.
Of course, them attacking anyone is pretty ridiculous in itself, considering their technology. I'm sure the Chinese have it sabotaged.

Besides, if North korea managed to do some damage, it'd be utterly obliterated. It's only a wuestion of how suicdal they are.

I would have utter disdain for anyone who would start the genocide of Best Korea because stupid orders were given, regardless of who they were given by. Most of the people there don't know any better. Nuking people is bad, very bad.

I think he meant they'd have a DoW from pretty much every sovereignty on the planet. Even evil commie china who as it turns out is less evil and more just kind of broken.

Shouldn't South Korea (and by extent their allies) just used one of the Border Friction CBs as an excuse to invade? Heck, South Korea could probably have cored them by now if they'd finished the job the first time around.

As things stand now, China's happier with NK on their border than they would be with a US-backed united Korea. They don't want the US sphere of influence clashing with theirs.

Maybe, but bordering North Korea has its own drawbacks. They aren't in China's sphere of influence. They're just a loose cannon hermit kingdom with nuclear weapons.

They share the same sentiments as the US would feel with a Chinese Mexico :P

Nukes aside, what sort of stacks could Best Korea plausibly support? Their tech is relatively shitty, so probably just about all their neighbors have at least double their number of regiments and far more than that in terms of unit effectiveness and leader skills. The only thing Best Korea could really do in a ground war would be to scorch the earth and hope the invaders get bogged down in sieges.

This is far more fun than it has any right to be.

With Burger King, their infrastructure and food production is so shitty, the earth is already scorched. It'd be like taking a match to used charcoal. Not worth the effort.

Yes, but the alternative is letting a nation that killed millions of people instantaneausly NOT die.

Flying Dice has exactly my point. No matter how stupid they appear to be, there is no chance for them in a ground war this time. Especially if the US has the might of the world behind it. It will be nukes or death, and Dictators, especially mad ones, tend to be ego-centric, and when they go, they lose the point of not beign genocidal maniacs.

I don't think China (or South Korea, Japan, or the US) would much like the idea of having their earth scorched, even if they were ultimately assured victory.

I was about to mention how the first time around they managed to push back the South Koreans, but then I remembered that it was because they had yet another country invade them.

Poor, poor NK.  No one likes them, and everyone ridicules them for their beliefs about unicorns.

Also 404s are making this impossible to post.

I'm not sure what's worse: that I've been commenting on this as if it were a conflict in EUIII or that it sounded close enough for people to respond as if I weren't.  :-X
