In a traditional age calculation method of the lunar calendar , magamacube is 22 years old.

No matter how old you are, happy birthday to you and enjoy your birthday cake!🍰

It's a long time since I was 21. (Enough time to start from zero again. And once more.)

And, you know, I don't think it was even a notable event, when I did, beyond the general passing of another year. There really aren't any big milestones that apply to the newly 21yo. I'd have been able to legally drink or drive (though perhaps not drink and drive!) for some years. Voting hasn't been 21+ since the '60s. The M/M age of consent was 21 until the mid-'90s (I think), but wasn't really of concern to me (or, practically, to those it could/should have been).

I think I quietly stopped automatically knowing my current age after I was 18 (if not before). Though maybe every time it ticks over to a new decade (from 30 onwards) it may have given me a day of thoughtfulness. (For my last big 'tick-over' I had a bit of a surprise party held, in conjunction with an invited family gathering. Which was all the more surprising for it being several days early! But then I was already going to be busy elsewhere on the actual day, whether or not that was ever in consideration for the integration of both events.)

...anyway. Hippo Birdy to you Magma. May you also have many more (much less exciting or notable ones) in your future. I think that's about as good (and realistic) a gift as I can wish for anyone. ;)

May your 22nd year of life bring you joy and comfort.

happy birthday magmacube!

Also today I learn that the forum has a big calendar page that lists a bunch of forumite's birthdays.

Seems like the sort of thing that would only work on a relatively small forum like this.

I feel vaguely amused about this as well, but apparently bees have a specific crawlspace size, literally called Bee Space. If you make the gaps between frames any larger than this, they'll start to fill it in with honeycomb. Any smaller and they'll seal it with propolis.

And frankly Bee Space sounds like a shitty satirisation of Dead Space.

The production manager(the attention whore) interviewed a potential new hire, a very large black man. Afterwards, after the guy left, he loudly proclaimed that he was rejecting the guy due to his body size, then stated that tomorrow he was going to interview and most likely hire a woman - which he followed up by saying that he originally was trying not to hire another woman but he doesn't like the idea of hiring a man so he won't.

Sounds like your management has a mouth thats too big, quite unprofessional to even discuss hiring choices with the drones, much less your reasoning.  That's high school level validation seeking.  If your boss acts like your toddler, it's time to consider moving on.

Could be a fan fiction that combines The Bee movie and Dead Space, and after thinking about it, it sounds terrible so I think someone should make it.

my favorite little porcelain chicken pipe ended up in the gravel with a bunch of apple chunks in it- did an apple fall from the tree in the backyard, knocking it loose and wedging a bunch of apple in there? perhaps an opportunistic squirrel found the grounded pipe and began sequestering apple within it?

it is a mystery

it is also squeaky clean now. hooray

Porcelain chicken pipe? As in a smoking pipe?
