My parents were cheering loudly about something on TV a few minutes ago. I don't know what it was, but the only times I hear my mom cheer like that is either during a Rangers game or when swallowing up the psychotic bullshit that comes from these fascists. And the hockey ended about a month ago.

Had a weird little epiphany that I don't think I'm actually afraid of dying, but rather I'm afraid of dying as I am right now. It's less that there's an end, and more that I might reach the end in my current state.

The feeling won't last, but maybe it'll motivate myself to do more. I dunno. At the very least I have some soul-searching to do to work out what I need to do with my life to feel better about my inevitable mortality.

Don't put too much pressure on yourself and try to force a specific outcome. If you judge your success only on things like whether you were able to obtain a job/house/girlfriend by 2025, you have a high chance of disappointing yourself since these are often luck-based.

Try instead to look at the direction your life is going in. Were you able to successfully alter your long-term trajectory? Do you think you developed a set of habits that will get you that job/girl eventually? Are you submitting resumes/putting yourself out there?

If you are, then that's an improvement from where you were before, and you can take solace in that.

Would be my guess. Whoever ends up with my mom's house, if they dig up the gardens, they're going to find like 15 years worth of pets buried there.
