I've always noticed that newer construction is pretty shit compared to anything made before the 40s. I mean I've actually out lived a house near where I live, and when I say out lived I don't mean they tore it down I mean it rotted and collapsed, it went from newly built to a crumbled pile of rot in about 12 years.

The ship near the Dutch coast is still burning. It has just come to light that it is not carrying 25 electric cars amongst it's load, but 500.
This will make putting the fires out even more complicated, if at all possible.

Firefighters can do nothing but cool the outsides of the ship with water, because adding water to the fire on the ship will not only just provide more fuel, it will also add too much weight and sink the ship.

The ship sinking is still a very probable outcome, and would be a terrible environmental disaster.

Now the UK has started an inquiry into the emails sent to the US military that ended up in the Malinese domain.
According to the British ministry of Defense, the inquiry only investigates somewhere around 20 'routine emails'.

The Dutch guy Zuurbier, was indeed, like Starver suspected, an administrator for the entire Malinese .ml domain, so it was indeed a systemic error, not typo's made by the mail senders.

So the military emails did indeed end up in his administrator mailbox.
According to Zuurbier's report, more than 100000 mails to the US military were wrongly sent.

The issue needs fixing, because very soon, those emails will not end up in Zuurbier's mailbox, but in Putin's mailbox, since Mali is close and friendly with Putin, and depends on the Wagner group for combating extremism after the French were told to leave.

Today I learned about this... rabbit hole of youtube videos collectively based around. Games aren't the right word? Toys? Something. There's no player input whatsoever, it's entirely automated, etc.

Anyway, it's based around various permutations of marble races, basically rube goldberg machines where circles bounce around until stuff finishes happening, usually colored and "competing" (there's no, like... agency involved, it's entirely RNG) against each other.

And, like. It's weirdly enthralling? I've spent hours today watching these things. They'd make really good screensavers.

The WTF is mostly from somehow having never encountered the stuff before, there's apparently at least several hundred videos of folks running these things. One of the more popular channels seems to be here, where someone's managed to rack up over a million subscribers doing vids of this stuff. Core Destruction #22 was the first one I ran across, and it was pretty neat.

I happened to catch a weird (maybe troll) edit on wikipedia. I don't think I've ever noticed something like this - but it was jarring.

I guess autocorrect? They changed something intentionally, clearly. A game title from something like 'Medabots Plus' to 'Medabots More' and then reverted that edit, but missed the Frankness. No comments.
