The most likely real explanation is that some actuary decided there's no reason you should need TWO of them in one day, so they won't pay for it because they think it's too far outside the envelope of conventional standards. I've seen decisions like this made all the time. One a day for twice as long is entirely fine, because it's not the total amount they care about, it's the dosing.
I imagine they're afraid you'll have some side effect at that dosage that will make them risk having to pay more to treat that, without enough compensatory benefit. To be completely fair, it's even possible that they're right, because waaaaay too many doctors don't understand dosing and think more = better, but I'm not gonna second-guess this case with zero information.

Defleaing in this case is just giving them flea med stuff, mind. If I had to do it manually, I'd probably need like... falconer gloves or whatever those things are. Cat didn't even like flea combs when she was a kitten, and she was a lot weaker with much smaller claws back then, heh.

Dog has a pill, but the cat's got one of those applicator things and the cat thinks it is 110% sus as all hells.

Yeah, cats hate the droppers. I think it's the liquid, besides being unpleasant because it has to go under their fur and that's not something liquid is meant to do with cats I think it's itchy or stings or something. Then again, it is poison, I imagine skin irritation is inevitable.

Oh, frumple, have you tried wrapping the kitty up in a thick bath towel like a burrito? That's the best way to get the fight ones to hold still and avoid scratches I've found. Might need a second pair of hands to help though.

Y'know what it reminds me of? Old series themed handheld games. I'd almost swear I actually saw a hell, I checked midsentence, and there damn sure was. Konami put them out. That design is almost certainly intentional nostalgia bait.

I did not know that the batteries of electrical cars burned so ferociously that the Dutch fire department decided to not put out the fire on a container ship transporting a few 100 3000 electric cars, that caught fire near the Dutch coast. The fire burns too fiercely to control. They decided to wait for the fire to burn out by tself, or by the ship sinking.
The fire is suspected to have started with a car battery failing and catching fire. It spread too quickly to be put out by the crew.

The ship's crew partially jumped overboard and were picked up by nearby vessels, some were rescued off the ship by helicopter. One crew member died in the flames, the rest were all rescued. A dozen of them were taken to hospital with respiratory problems.

EDIT: I do not want to think about the environmental damage all those burning electric car materials will do to our Waddenzee

That's the main reason I'd worry about being in one of those thing during a wreck, because if you've ever watched a video of a laptop battery getting punctured you could just imagine what would happen if you puncture one of those huge batteries in a car.

Lithium burns very hot and can't be put out with water. If you pour water on it, it will just create Lithium Hydroxide, Hydrogen, and heat. The hydrogen might then catch on fire.
If you pour water on Lithium oxide, results are similar, but without that hydrogen generation. Just Lithium Hydroxide and heat.

Now, you could technically put it out with an inert gas (N₂), or an inert powder. But I'd worry that pre-oxidized stuff, like sand or carbon dioxide might just have it's oxygen ripped off and merely slow the burn, rather than stopping it.

Yeah, lithium batteries are pretty dangerous in certain circumstances. Part of the reason a lot of effort goes into researching alternative batteries.
