Are you sure on the word lasso? I know duck dicks can be 20cm long or something, but even then that's not a very large distance for catching ducks with, it wouldn't really be the most practical. Also don't female ducks have some sort of instinctual desire to resist reproduction? I think ducks in general are just weird. Though I wouldn't say horrifying.

The female never leaves the cocoon, requiring that the male mate with her through the open end at the back of the case.
