I am unimpressed by the technical know-how of this apartment building's leadership committee.

Which is a somewhat polite way of saying "This absolute numpty doesn't know how to use the CC function on emails and has been sending the personal, private email addresses OF every single resident in the building TO every other single resident in the building every time an announcement needs to be made".


Even ignoring the obvious security concerns, this also means that a good 80-90% of every announcement is just email addresses.

Told that this is incredibly irresponsible behavior and endangering the privacy of every single person on that list, and can be fixed within a couple seconds? Yes.

Specifically warned/threatened with the potential of a lawsuit? No, don't think so.


So, in other words, there's obviously no reason to learn how to put the info into a slightly different field instead!

Background: Some months ago, someone was brought into the store as a manager trainee, for a period that should be hopefully over in the next month or two. This man is a complete ass, acts extremely inappropriately in everything he does. How anyone thought this guy was good for a management position I cannot comprehend; I wouldn't have given him an entry-level job. Unfortunately, he's somehow popular with most every one of the lazy idiots I have to work with. As I said, he's should be gone hopefully soon, but if I find out he's staying permanently I will quit. I cannot stand this guy that much.


Anyways. Apparently, someone told him my birthday, which apparently also falls on the same day as his. He will not shut up about that fact, constantly referring to me as his "birthday buddy", and generally being an ass about it.

I had a meeting today, and on the agenda was discussing some shallow new leadership technique. During the presentation, it abbreviated the tenets of the technique with an acronym, as all BS corporate fads inevitably do. I had to seriously stop myself from cracking up laughing in front of my boss though when it showed the acronym:

As you can see, it uses the first letter of each word as the letter of the acronym, but then cheats on the last word and uses the second letter instead. I just instantly think "What? Are you too good for CORN?!" and I had to seriously collect myself, I was about to die laughing in front of my boss and all my colleagues.
