Hey now, abortion was what they turned to when segregation stopped being as easy. Trans stuff is more like the next target. They're also apparently trying to drum up furry hate again for... some reason. Adjacent target or something, lot of the language used is similar.

Its a gateway program.  Get these people into the clinics, in contact with counselor, and documented.  It's not like it's take-a-penny, leave-a-penny - there will be paperwork.

While there, other services can be offered.


Then, later on the lawmakers that be can expand the program as they see fit.

Pointedly, it's not something new -- programs like it have been used, effectively, all over the world for a long while now. It's good shit that generally ends up saving the communities they're in both blood and money. The weakest of Google searches says some angry parent in a board meeting in Michigan insisted the genderless bathrooms had litterboxes in them for students who identify as cats, which everyone vehemently denies. Which sounds about right coming from the looney box reactionaries in this country.

Not really unexpected when you note two things:
1) It's a statement by a Political Candidate.
2) It's a FORMER teacher.  I'm guessing the move out of teaching was at the insistence of the school system.

Do a deep dive on the candidate, and I bet this is only the tip of the iceberg on them. I'm guessing they're so Goddamn Awful that they HAVE to make such outrageous statements to hide their many, many flaws.

They're back up.

Not all newspapers were gone, but I think all newspapers under the same publisher were down. All other sites, like this one, or the NYT were fine.

If Russia were to start a war with the West, taking down our online communications like newspapers would be one of the first things you'd see though.

You jest, but given my location, if ww3 ever breaks out and nukes are part of it, I'll pretty damn sure die in the opening salvo, living less than 5km away from one of the few airports in Western Europe that has runways large enough for NATO to launch large transport planes with cargo and fuel. During the Jugoslavia conflict it was main staging area for that reason. No other airfield anywhere nearer capable of refueling and loading Hercules transports.
