Firefox 95.0.1 Linux AMD64 on Xubuntu is broken something terrible on my system, for reasons I dont understand.

Downgrading forcibly to 75.0.0 fixed it... "Fixed"...

WTF.

I just had firefox stop loading any website for me too (and making my CPU fans go into overdrive). No error messages, only an error report after closing firefox.

Reboot did not help.

What did help? Starting Firefox in safe mode (press shift while clicking on the firefox icon).
After starting it once in safe mode, normal mode works fine again.

I think it might have been an issue with Avast updating, not sure. At least it works again.

I dont have Avast, but your suggestion of starting in safe-mode and doing a firefox refresh seems to have fixed it on 95.0.1

So I guess I'll say this here, once, and briefly.

We're not going to do the cold war thing.  Russia cant hold a candle to us - treating them as an equal in power and giving them the dignity and legitimacy of response when it does wacky 'look what I can do' bullshit will only embolden them.  Sending troops into ragged and/or besieged countries will only weaken them in the long run.

The more we play footsies and focus on their little tyraids the more they will ramp them up and work towards a big move.
