After the trash pickup in our neighborhood, someone threw a trash bag full of wet leftover foodstuff in our otherwise empty trash bin.

I don't understand what thought process would lead you to walk no less than 120 feet (carrying a bag of food waste, or worse carry it in your car, and then put it in someone else's bin obviously after the trash has been picked up.

Presumably some form of desperation? Missed their own pickup, had some kind of trash disaster at home, etc. It's impolite, especially without, like... asking... but it's not exactly hard to figure out the framework of what sort of thought process could lead to that.

Allright. This is not the first time the anti-5G movement has managed to create a WTF moment for me, they do not often dissapoint to do so, actually.
This time it is particularly bad though.

I have no words. The radiation might not be high enough for real damage, but imagine all the people scared about 5g getting cancer from these things. They'll certainly not blame their protective devices for that.

If it's α, then it's reasonably safe, unless worn on face.
If it's β, then it's not great, but not too dangerous, unless in high intensity.
If it's γ or neutrons, then it is certainly damaging, how much depends on intensity.
If some exotic radiation, such as -β or anything else, then I do not know.

Well, 5G is technically also radiation, but microwave, which to organic tissue only causes direct heating, and is safe at normally used intensities.

The last time this sort of thing cropped up, the radiation source was thorium, which (via decay products) emits alpha, beta, and gamma radiation. Those previous products were also fairly strong, at .6-1 microsieverts per hour with only beta and gamma detection, and 5.6 with the detector that can pick up alpha radiation.
