Last night, around 11 - someone started lighting fireworks near our building.

Not like...firecrackers and stuff - full sparkling explosions in the air - maybe 20 meters from the building, or so. Rattling windows and all. They launched one a minute for about ten minutes, after which, someone presumably murdered them.

My favorite fun person on the phone at work was a guy who, on his facebook page, espoused the belief that an outside agency was spying on him via birds.

In order to defeat their nefarious surveillance, he set up strobe lights to go off outside his NYC apartment windows at like 3AM. I was quite sure the next entry would be "oh my god my neighbors are here with shotgunssdggaljsgskri8g af h" but he was ok the next day.

I must have screwed up the calibration on my weighing scale. I stood on it just after I woke up, and it said that I somehow gained 5 kg from yesterday, which... look, I eat a lot, but I don't eat that much. Then I tried it again, now the reading's decreased by 1 kg. Again, and it's dropped by 2. So I just repeatedly weighed myself until I got a weight that I'm happy with.
