And about what transpired in D.C. now that the tides are aparently down and arrrests have been made (that I know off) it seems, at least here is hopong, it was just a bunch of exacerbated hoolingans that took it too far and not the start of the wet dream of every Man in the High Castle fan.

I'd correct you on that and use they/them outright, but I'm not quite sure if the idea of being nonbinary is particularly well-known in Japan or its media. I dunno, write me as "male" (sounds masculine, looks masculine, referred to by other people as male), but all self-references in monologues (and Bay12, if we want to get self-referential) are completely ambiguous? I don't know how you'd write a closeted nonbinary person without outright saying it.

Could drop the matter entirely, and just say I'm male outright. This is a character, after all, but still. Not sure how much my actual experiences being nonbinary would add to this harem manga; I'm blind to what I look like, anyway, so I don't think I'd be very good representation. Decisions, decisions.

It's pretty easy to avoid gendering someone in Japanese, it's often used to set up gags. A bit harder in the first person where by convention the pronouns are gendered, but it's probably weak enough that the submissive male pronoun would be fine, I guess? Not much for Japanese culture, though.
