We have begun our house search anew.

The first house we looked at had a carpeted half-bath. Well, that's sort of inaccurate. It had an attic but 3 bed 1.5 bath sounds better than 2 bed 1 bath. So the attic is now a combined (uninsulated)  carpeted bedroom and half bath.

That, and several other issues, have removed this particular house from our list. At least now we know why there were only seven pictures.

Apparently it derives from a specific brand-name of quilts, which was derived from the scandinavian term. Personally I would never used the term doona, I've always known them as quilts, and when I've heard doona it's always been from bogans.

After looking at my feet following a warm, relaxing bath, I have discovered a great number of small holes on them. If You will excuse my sudden outburst, what the actual fuck?!

That aside, they cause no pain, and looking at them for more than a few seconds makes me feel physically ill. On the bright side, I’ll probably start taking better care of my feet now before I get trench foot.

When you say holes what exactly do you mean? Is it like Pitted Keratolysis where there's small holes in the upper layers of the skin, or are we talking something that actually penetrates down into the feet?

So, as I've mentioned once or twice, I've had to move house.
Ended up deciding to drive up from Melbourne to northern NSW with my dad, and so much of yesterday was spent driving through fire-ravaged rural Australia. Crazy to see how many buildings were lost, crazy to see how close the fires came to many of the surviving ones, and crazy to think just how touch-and-go the defense efforts would have been.

Now, though, the rain has come, forecast to continue heavily for days - sure, it should be enough to put out the last pockets of bushfire, but it's also just in time to wash away all the loose soil left around tree roots that have burnt away.
Sydney's flooding, various other places are flooding, and it's anyone's guess if we'll be able to get north today. Haha, fun times.
