I know its 12:38 for 18 year old kids.  And like 14:50 for 40 year olds.

This entire shady housing thing. We wanted out. You know what - the sellers can just have the earnest money. A thousand bucks is a small price to pay for not dealing with that bullshit anymore.

Turns out the listing agency either never received our earnest check or did so and is now lying about not having it. They had three days to report this. It's been a week now. We're free and clear, minus the $20 or whatever it'll take to call up the bank and cancel the check that may or may not be lost in the mail.

In todays instalment of Cooked Ideas Becoming Reality, a few of my closest friends and I are about to get matching in joke-related tattoos this evening.
I certainly didn't expect any of them to take this idea seriously when I jokingly suggested it the other day, hahaha...

Weird thing from my job

My job is helping people with their tax returns, and was talking to a client and they had an unknown payer / tax withheld on their account, and they swore they didn't work at all that year. We checked it out, and it turned out to be a pawn shop, and the person was adamant they never worked for them. Then, the person recalled they got burgled around then, and thieves stole a safe full of valuables and documents. Looks like the burglars used her identity to sell a truckload of stolen goods, and the sale ended up being lodged against her tax records.
