I used an app that did that for a bit, mostly because my normal alarm just didn't make a sound unless I changed several different settings.

That was during a  period in which I pretty often worked late on a problem sheet, missed lectures by oversleeping, worked late again to catch up, and overslept again. Fun times.

Have an app called 'hungry cat'.  Reliably wakes me up at 3:30 to 4:30 every day.

I just put my alarm clock on a table far enough from my bed that I have to stand up to get to it.

When I set my alarm I tend to wake up before it goes off, usually ten minutes before annoyingly so there is no point trying to get any more sleep. Also tended to wake up ten minutes before someone else came to wake me, still tried to sleep a bit longer there because it usually meant school.

Heh, I usually wake up a few minutes before an alarm rings if I was woken up by it one or two times before. Some sort of nervous response to being woken up by loud noises or something. Which is the complete opposite of my sister who can basically sleep into the early afternoon by continually hitting snooze. Hell, she's even capable of having a semblance of conversation with someone while seeming awake, then have no recollection of it a few hours later when she actually wakes up.

I used to be sorta' like that. I've since found the trick to be not dinking around with milquetoast beepy shit. Go loud and active. Current primary alarm is boss music from Magicmaker, heh.

Secondary is making it harder to turn off, though, yeah. Can help.

Yeah, there are at least a few digital versions of that!
In fact I believe some phone alarms come with such a feature these days, where you must complete a simple puzzle to shut it up.   

Is the puzzle "how do you like the toilet, you loud asshole phone?"

I had to put the alarm clock on irritating beeping instead of music so I actually wake up when it goes off, and placed it far enough away that I'm unable to go back to sleep once it's off (good thing about being a bad sleeper; I'm not able to just fall back asleep). I'm startled awake, which definitely helps my "fuck mornings" mood.

Irritating music can also work. There were a few years where my alarm clock was metal machine music and/or merzbow. There's few beeps in this world more jarring than the sound of what amounts to industrial machinery fornicating itself, played loudly.

I’m the exact same. I eventually found the solution was to just work nights. Why should I fit society when I can make it fit me, and get paid more?

I used the dubstep lost woods remix, back in the day.

Nothing got me out of bed faster than that drop. Got obnoxious pretty quickly, but I guess that’s not a downside.

In the webfiction Worm, Coil has the ability to split the timeline in two, being aware of everything happening to Coils, then drop a timeline and re-split.
Supposedly, he used this power to win 8 (? Haven't read in a while, so don't remember exactly how much.) coin flips in a row.
Except, wouldn't his power only give him a 3/4 chance to win each coin flip?

They made a big deal about how he chose a coin flip to show off his power, because it goes 50%-50%. Except the way his powers work, a card draw would actually work better, he would just have to stall in one timeline while looking at the card in the other, while such a tactic does not work with a coin flip.
