So back in february a dead humpback whale calf was found in the brazilian rainforest, in a mangrove forest specifically. Apparently the explanation is that it was washed inland by tidal/wave action and was already dead by then. Its upside down, and my first idea was that it got lost and swam inland while the forest was flooded and got stranded, but that doesnt explain how or why it would have rolled over on its back.

Just search for it and you get news articles from all over the place.

Today, in our series of ridiculous questions:

"Hey, do you play the horn?"

Asked moments after I performed in front of a crowd of hundreds, am preparing for the second half of the show, and am currently holding a horn in the middle of the rest of the orchestra. But it goes further:

"What about her? Does she play the horn? It's a good hobby."

Pointing at one of my bandmates. I had to explain, one by one, that yes, each of our band members plays the instrument they are currently holding. It really shouldn't be that difficult a concept to understand.

Some people just won't take yes for an answer.

Some people just want to make conversation, and are actually begging for follow up questions.

I mean, if you wanted a conversation, you could say something less ridiculous, such as "hey, I liked the show that you performed literally 30 seconds ago, and I know this because I have functioning eyes and ears. Have you played the horn for long?"

So im drinking my mtn dew, and i cant shake the feeling it tastes wrong, like it tastes like their baja blast flavor, yet clearly has the normal labelling and coloring. Maybe im tasting things that arent there? Or someone fucked up the recipe somehow.

Aside from "of course they did it wrong, that's how you end up with mountain dew", I've noticed they've been putting out throwback stuff. It's possible they're doing a "it used to taste like this 20 years ago" thing so when they change back to the "normal" recipe you won't notice the changes they made. Allegedly that's what the New Coke/Classic Coke thing was: hiding the change to corn syrup from cane sugar.
