Jesse encountered the Meth Family child. I thought he was about to engage on his personal redemption arc where instead of living purely for himself, he adopts this child and devotes his efforts to bettering himself in order to be a good role model and parent in order raise this child right. When it turned out he was a bit character that apparently never comes back into the story, I felt it was a big wasted opportunity.

I mean, It seemed like such an obvious direction for the story to take, I was about to roll my eyes in how transparently emotionally manipulative it was, but then it just never happened! What a twist!

I honestly think it would be too soon for Jesse's character to take such a turn. Also if they really did that i think they could have writen him off of the show aswell (leaving all of his old life behind and such).

They get him in a similar* situation which he does hadle it better but it also feels IMO more believable since he had shown to be more mature at that point.

*It seems similar now that I reconsider it. Back when I was watching BB it was different enough that it didn't occur to me that the two "arcs" might be connected by the writers trying the same story again.

It seems odd to me that a group of witches, belonging to a Church of Night (complete with an Anti-Pope) which requires a Dark Baptism, who frequently do battle with angels and demon-hunters, who say "Hail Satan" during ceremonies, who sign their name into a "Book of Beasts," who call the devil "the Dark Lord," are suddenly very upset and betrayed that they've been doing Satan's bidding for the entire series.
