I have just spent several hours researching Pokemon lore, and real-life evolutionary eras for a small personal project of mine.
What project you ask? You know of Pixelmon? (Generations version, to be specific.)
I'm trying to make a custom list of starters consisting of mostly fossil Pokemon, and some others that would make sense to have around their time periods.
I needed 18 in total, because that's the max amount of starters you can choose from, and any less would result in starter UI bugs.
I am quite satisfied with what I came up with so far.

Edit: I might or might not put up a list somewhere, am a bit lazy at the moment. And projects like these tend to fizzle out, resulting in nothing to really show.

It's why the anime school system always gives me a bit of a socialist boner. Having exams at the end of junior, medium and high school in order to judge which schools you can next go to? I'd have been over the moon.

But maybe I'm just as bad because I also kind of blame the school system for how poorly I achieved- or specifically not really the system rather than the culture. Tall poppy syndrome 100%

Entirely non-boner-related WTF: I drank a beer at the Epping Hotel today. WTF.   
One of those pubs where you would consider it a contender for the most bogan pub ever except for the fact that it passed the upper limit of bogan-ness long ago and you can no longer calculate the actual levels of trashiness on display.   

...Then again, I don't go into too many ultra-bogan pubs, so maybe I'm just sheltered.

It's one of those moments where something lives up pretty much exactly to your expectations, but you're still very much surprised because you expected your expectations to be extremely unrealistic.

My interpretation of the song is that they criticizing current leaders and social leaders of their communities in Mongolia whom don't seem to develop the country and help advance Mongolia for innovation and a stronger education and instead they stay stuck with their perception of Mongolia' strong History and boasting of their ancestors
