Re: Cookies
I don't care if the government/Google/the FSB/whatever is logging my internet visits and cookies... it will only ever affect me if I commit a crime.
Ahahahahahahahahaha *wipes tear*

Are you Jewish? Ethnic in literally any way? Religious? Nonreligious? Asexual? Non heterosexual? Support a political movement? Don't support a political movement? Ever read communist literature? Fascist literature? Capitalist literature? Do you support realistic, transparent reporting of history? Are you in possession of drugs, pornography, religious texts, friends of the wrong ethnicity/sexuality/anything above?

All these are things governments in the past may have killed you for. If you like I can come up with a very few reasons a future gov't might decide to kill you.

I guess. But it works for me, so whatever.
Boy, 'do unto others' has really dropped off nowadays.

I've forgotten the word for 'bad for the preservation of the species' but that policy is essentially that. "Inefficient" doesn't cut it, but something like that.

Edit: I didn't even notice they were russian.

Russia isn't particularly likely to turn into another oppressive regime (we went through this already, slightly less than 100 years ago), so my policies will still cut it.

Your opinions are not my opinions. You can have your obsession with privacy, it's not like I'm forcing you to accept my beliefs.

Certainly the idea of being repulsed by people spying on you is an opinion - it just happens to be a very common one, and grounded in very good reasons.

Then I don't have that opinion. It's simple as that.

I mean to be fair, if we didn't have access to tons of surveillance data on Russia we wouldn't know about the obscene amount of voter fraud which happens every election.

I mean, Russia can hardly be called oppressive, so long as you toe the line and don't step out of bounds I guess :V

Kinda like "You can't rape the willing." but instead it's "You can't oppress someone who loves being oppressed."

I mean, it's not Stalinist. You can even get away with mild anti-Putin speech (as long as it isn't too strong).

I could erect a massive monument of Trump sucking dicks with a big lengthy paragraph next to it explaining exactly how stupid, boorish, and incompetent I feel he is and the worst that could be done legally is, "That's in bad taste, but as long as you filed the appropriate building codes..."

Russia isn't the USA. Not every country is the USA. Oh you wacky 'muricans.

Or may be cliche to say that your freedom levels are insufficient, but your freedom levels are insufficient.
Complaining about the government as loudly as you please aughta be a human right, I say. People should both be allowed to think whatever they like, and say what they think.
