Was reading up on Post Apartheid racism. Wikipedia says:
A comparative study by trade union Solidarity, confirmed that South African media give more attention to white-on-black racism; it also found that the South African Human Rights Commission is much more likely to self-initiate investigations into white-on-black racism, and is more lenient in cases of black-on-white racism.[13]
A list of violent (herein meaning non-verbal) black-on-white examples:
In 2004, William Kekana was sentenced to six life terms and 60 years in prison for crimes including murder, abduction and rape. Kekana and his deceased accomplice, Charles Fido Baloyi, kidnapped Janine Drennan, 24, her one-year-old daughter Kayla and Kayla's grandmother, Hester, on July 31, 2003 from Arcadia in Pretoria. Drennan was then raped and all three victims were murdered. During questioning Kekana said that Drennan, baby Kayla and Rawstone had been killed because they where white.[14][15][16]
During 2014, Knowledge Mandlazi embarked on a killing spree in the Brits farming area. He was convicted of murdering 5 whites and was subsequently sentenced to life imprisonment. In court Mandlazi stated "My hate for white people made me rob and kill". While Mandlazi was led out of the courtroom after his conviction he gave the middle finger to the surviving victims in the gallery.[17][18]
In an ongoing court case regarding the 2011 rape of a Rayton mother and her two teenage daughters, aged 15 and 17, the mother testified "He said sex was nicer with a white woman and I was a rich white b***h".[19][20] The mother's testimony indicated a racial motivation to the attack.
Nicci Simpson, a white woman, was severely assaulted during a six hour long planned attack at her farm in 2017. Simpson spent two months wheelchair-bound with pins in her knees following the attack where a power-tool was used to drill holes into her feet, chunks of flesh were removed from her arm and a knife was pushed into her head. Eventually the attackers left after leaving Simpson suffocating with a plastic bag over her head. Simpson stated during the attack she was repeatedly referred to as a "white f***ing b***h".[21][22][23]
Violent white on black racism:
Willem Oosthuizen and Theo Jackson, forced a black man into a coffin and threatened to set him alight for trespassing.[37] (Though this doesn't mention a racist motivation...)
A white farm worker has also been accused of racism for chaining a black man to a post and beating him while calling him derogatory names.
Further individual incidents include a white man and his sons beating Mthunzi Sibuyi, a young black man, while he was walking out and saying goodbye to his friends, until he fell and bled from the brain (due to the fall from the punch) as they (the white family) did not approve of Sibuyi dancing with a white girl. The large and diverse group that Mthunzi Sibuyi was with alleges that the white men said that “k***ers getting comfortable with the white girls!” The men proceeded to sexually harass the girls (who have laid charges) up until the point that the group decided to leave to prevent any incidents. While they walked away the White men followed them and beat Sibuyi. Yasin Yildirim, a friend of Sibuyi’s also claims the White man attempted to drive them over..[41]
Thabang Moisiako, a black athlete, had his head smashed onto a pavement at a bus stop. The attack was allegedly performed by a group of white students who Moisiako said attacked him when he criticised their racist remarks to another man. The attack was allegedly racially motivated and caused Moisiako to be hospitalised due to his injuries.[44]
Black South Africans are also heavily racist towards non-whites.

Alexandra as well as violence in Laudium, Pretoria in October 2011.10
• Threats of violence against foreign business owners in Ekurhuleni, Gauteng by South
African business owners in November 2011.11
South Africa presented the following as examples of racial violence:
• A suspected racially-motivated sexual, verbal and physical attack on factory workers in
Blackheath, near Cape Town in April 2011.17
• The random shooting of four black people by white teenager Johan Nel in Skierlik,
North-West in January 2008.18
• The shooting of three black bus passengers by self-proclaimed right winger De Wet
Kritzinger in 2000.19
• The racially-motivated Christmas Eve bombing of a pharmacy and shopping centre in
Worcester, Western Cape in 2005.20
The report notes:
Such incidents have been recognized to be relatively rare but the fact that they have occurred
in the not too distant past as well as the major social impact such crimes have on the country
means that additional attention is needed on race-related crimes.
Aaaand, I would look over it further but I now have to go to work. WTF being that I've only ever been told that White South Africans are racist, but it seems more nuanced than that. Also, I didn't notice the SA government mentioning any of the Black-On-White crime such as Wikipedia brought up in their examples, though it is true I didn't have enough time to pursue the sources.
I did pursue the sources on the last White-On-Black crime noted by Wikipedia, and found it less than conclusive. Apparently he tried to stop some people from swearing at a woman in a shop. There was a fight. Police broke it up. He went home, and on the way was ambushed and beaten up. I didn't see a conclusive reason for it to be racist rather than just a bust-up, and the only account I found was his.
