I think that's one of the reasons I rarely pick up DF again these days.  Forts are so much safer than they were when I started (40d I think), unless you go out of your way to make mistakes or find Fun.

Seem to recall Z levels in general made things safer, really. Least once most of the major-ish bugs were ironed out. More room to finagle things so it wasn't a concern...

I recall when I started z-levels existed, but I think caverns did not.

I miss the days of losing track of what time of year it is and forgetting to lock the doors to the river.  Even with safety bridges built downriver you'd always lose 1 or two and feel bad because it's all your fault you forgot.  You could redline the chasm, but there was not a damn thing you could do about the river flood.

My wrist started randomly spasming out during band today, which made it slightly impossible to bow. The WTF part for me is that this has never happened to me before, so I have no clue why. It seems to have stopped now, but now my arm is sore from it.

Got to work, see everyone else who arrived before me standing outside, because no manager with the key came to open the door.

Store manager shows up, tells everyone he forgot the key, so we all have to wait until another manager comes with it. About half an hour later, later than when everyone is supposed to be clocked in already, my sister arrives with a key.


Turns out someone who arrived before that also had a key, but they didn't realize it worked on the front door. They're keys to not only the door, but various closets and offices in the store.

That's not an unreasonable error. Closets aren't usually keyed to the same key as the front door for security reasons.

Forum's been down for a couple hours due to 504 error. Haven't seen that problem in, well, a LONG time.

There was a brief 504 error the other day, but thought nothing of it.
