And speaking of headphones, I'm more and more partial to getting a decent pair of bluetooth ones for my phone, regular ones just turn to shit way too quickly even with careful handling, the cable quality is just so shit most of the time that they barely last a month.

Ah, headphones. One of those things I learned was never worth paying less than ten dollars for.

I'm somewhat ashamed to say that as a freshman, I bought a 50.00 set of earbuds. For me, that's an embarrassingly expensive minor luxury item, but they've lasted me for six years and still sound perfectly crisp.

Bizarrely, there are multiple current projects for cases or stands which... block your cell phone's signal.  Various faraday cages.
Instead of putting it on silent, or airplane mode, or even off...  Removing the battery if you have a serious self-control problem...

Retsupurae covered my favorite example, which is not even a case.
