Personally, I can only stand pineapple on pizza.  Even then it's a rare whim, but I think the taste works.
I had forgotten about the mouth-eating part though, neat.  Learn something old every day.

Mix that with 1/3rd citrus vodka and a healthy splash of Malibu coconut rum, then put a little umbrella in it and pretend you're in Hawaii. Pineapple pizza EXTREMELY optional. Blech.

I guess that mixing two overly-sour drinks isn't going to make the result any worse than either.  Same for their exceptional sweetness, which I worry about.

I mix my rum with tomato juice (usually low sodium V8).  Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary...
Pineapple juice with rum sounds cloyingly sweet, but maybe it's okay with vodka.  I haven't had vodka since my kid brother was in high school.  I remember it being awful.  But so is straight rum from the same company, and I assume the vodka's less sweet.

Not sure where I was going with this, since I mainly drink *wine* now.  Doesn't get much sweeter than that.
A lot of people hate the sulfurus taste, but I kinda like that I can taste it.  Weak sense of smell and all that.

Edit:  Like, it might just be citrus+potato vodka, but apparently there exists vodka made from fruit.  Somehow.

Citrus vodka is vodka that has been flavored like lemons or oranges. The taste is sort of a nondescript fiery burning plus citric acid. I live in America and we have a lot of strangely flavored alcohols. Vodka alone has: marshmallow, cinnamon, peppermint, lime, vanilla, generic berry, and a half a dozen others.

Also I love cloyingly sweet alcoholic beverages. The only time I like sweet things anymore.

IIRC the meat-dissolving part of the pineapple occurs mostly in the outer edge. If I cut that off I can eat the pineapple just fine.
Also, I consider it heresy to eat a pizza WITHOUT pineapple.
