It's less to do with the milking itself and more the way the cows are kept perpetually pregnant so that they continue to lactate.   

Uh.. No? They do need to have a calf in between lactation periods, but they're not perpetually pregnant. With the dairy breeds, this means they have a calf once every 1-2 years (some people even advocate 3-year lactation periods for certain breeds). With a gestation period of 280-ish days, that leaves the cow time where it's not pregnant.

No we don't, at least not in the EU. It was all banned. Or at least, not allowed to name their products 'milk' anymore, since a EU judge ruled a few months ago that that is misleading the consumer 

We have soy juice, almond slurry and rice squeeze now

Margarine isnt artificial. Its just another fat made semisolid.
These things are just substitutes not meant to be a replica or artificial anything.
As we all know almond milk is better than cow milk and you dont need to crush hundreds of cows for it.

I really hate to be the one that posts this, since I've long since gotten tired of other people complaining about it while I notice no changes, but the new Youtube layout is really ugly looking. I like soy milk alright, but it only matches actual milk in color and sorta in texture.  Like how soy patties taste nothing like meat...  But they often taste better to me, depends on the seasoning and mood.  If I'm in the mood for meat, eggs or fish come closer than soy-stuff.

I'm not a big fan of drinking milk straight. Almond milk is just a better beverage. I would not attempt to use it to create cheese or cream, however.

Cashew milk is the creamiest, hemp milk has the most amino acids and oat milk is really good for certain baking recipes, like muffins. Cashew cheese is really tasty although coconut cheese is quite firm.
