some of the other videos advertised for like pulsar sounds.  which is focused radiation.



I'd guess its either an artist's interpretation of a mass spectrometer reading or some other radiation or just an artist's interpretation based on scifi convention

Sometimes the actors only pretend to eat and spit it back out between takes.

Also realise that the food in the scene is not part of the catering and would probably have been prepared earlier that day (or even another day entirely and put in the fridge) and made primarily to look good rather than be eaten. As such it wouldn't surprise me at all if it was cold and bland by the time they get to filming.

My personal thought for TV shows (and movies) is
-1) Continuity
-2) So if they have to retake, they don't have to keep putting out more and more plates of food.

Though I am still wondering if they are actually taking teenie weenie bites compared to real people or not... I don't exactly watch people eat through their dining room windows that I have access to because latches are very easy to unlock very often.

For example I eat Asparagus usually in two bites, often one entire bite.

I recommend the multiple-bite method of feeding oneself, in that case. Unless it is a very small asparagus.

To people reading who are new at feeding themselves, I recommend consulting an expert if you are uncertain about proper mastication technique.

Neon might be semi-bragging about his ability to fit long and cylindrical objects fully into his mouth, and I'm pretty sure the rest of us are now being filled with doubt about our asparagus eating habits.

I mean, I naturally imagine asparagus to scream and desperately wave stick figure arms as I bite it in the back, tearing out its spine. I then glory in the thrill of the kill before stuffing the mutilated remains of its corpse into my moth and letting out a fearsome roar in order to discourage nearby scavengers.

@Draignean: That's a horrible thing to do to a moth. Do you want Mothra? Because that's....not actually how you get Mothra. It involves radiation and tiny Japanese twins, from what I remember.
