Yin and Yan weren't the balance between good and evil. They were the balance between complimentary opposites, not contradictory opposites.

As well Yin and Yan also represented balance within and without. So even if it did include good and evil, pure of evil and pure of good do not balance each other out because they are unbalanced within themselves.

To be fair, the US was the winner for the first decade and a half of the contests existence. Haven't won in 20 years though.....

My actual WTF here is that only ITMO and SPbGU are among the Russian winners - these are some of the top universities of St. Petersburg. I would have also expected to see MGU and MIEM HSE of Moscow among the winners, but it doesn't look like they even participated. That's pretty strange to me.

Can't say I resent them, but _{of course I do, damn northerners always taking all of our glory, second capital my ass, you know what we have that you don't? a sun, that's what. Assholes}

I occasionally forget that my country is capable of achieving things outside of Zvezda's propaganda shows and other similar things. To be honest, I only learned about this one from some random comment on a modding site that I visit verrrry rarely. It definitely wasn't in the news aggregators that I've read, I would've noticed that.

I wonder if that could be indicative of their news' internal selection procedure's deficiencies...
