That's over 53k SEK. Honestly, that's way more than I'd like.

I don't QUITE think that is the same thing. Given most of the DLC are new trains and you REALLY are meant to pick and chose what you want instead of buying them all or even a moderate amount of them. You aren't kept from a complete or full experience by skipping them.

Plus, it was a place of camaraderie (house camaraderie, friend camaraderie) and inclusion, mixed with a setting in which nearly anything was possible and education wasn't a chore, but an adventure.

It helped that magic school applied directly to your life. Everything learned in magic school could be used immediately and was always helpful.

It isn't like some after school special where someone suddenly needs to perform trigonometry to find the best bus route home.

Not that I take TOO much stock in the "It would have been a great school", given its sort of... rampant elitism and clear favoritism.

It is, to me, a product of Steam not really being a compatable storefront.

If The Sims 3 also included everything from the Sims 3 shop... the DLC list would be HUUUUGE! (The Sims 2 would be much worse in that respect)

The new Stellaris update breaks new barriers in simulated unspeakable atrocities. Even DF has not reached such lofty, mind-wrenching heights.

The following actions are/will be possible to take against sentient spacefaring races:

- Enslavement (Domestic and/or Military)
- Eating entire races. Literally. You just make them into canned people.
- Corralling and raising said race as food animals (Enslavement probably implied).
- Genetic modification of a race to make them more delicious (no really, +100% food worth).
- Genetic modification of a race to remove their capacity for higher thought.
- Mass-neutering of sentient races, enslavement NOT required.
- AND OTHER HORRIFIC ACTS ™

Creative combination of above actions is also likely possible.

You can also force specific species to live in preindustrial squalor, even amongst other species whom you cater to the every whim of. Or just go full Brave New Work and pump them full of so much drugs, vidja, and anime that they don't even care about being slaves (not hyperbole).

I think this is quite possible in DF through modding though.
Although I am not sure.. Was anything changed since last I played DF?
