So, I found twitter analytics to today, and it's both awesome and terrifying.

Aside from the general things, like how many engagements your tweets get, and your "organic impressions" it gives you a bunch of data on your audience demographics.

Now, for the record, I barely use twitter. I've had it for more than a year, but I only have around 250 tweets. Most of those occur in long threads, a dozen or so at a time. Looking at my audience demographics, they could accurately place everything from my income and region, to my occupation and "Consumer buying style", to a fairly accurate list of my interests. Hell, it even works out my primary affinities for consumer goods purchases. (60% for salty snacks, 54% for chocolate candies, 58% for dairy products, 51% for meat.) <<thats pretty much my food pyramid right there!

This level of analytical data is truly terrifying. That's from a comparatively trivial amount of data opposed to what they must have on regular users!

I mean, information age and all, I kinda already knew that the internet know a lot about me, but seeing it like this is something else. Just... christ man!

Omega directive.

http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/Omega_Directive

Very specific invocation, but when found, a starfleet capt must do whatever it takes to destroy the source of the particles. I would presume this includes destroying whole planets, if needed.

These Omega Molecules sound like some sort of unobtanium, plus a convulted plot device, and/or something like the Ultimate Weapon or the Ultimate Power Source.

The Omega Molecules weren't a bad idea in it of itself and neither was the idea of something so dangerous that getting rid of it is considered more vital than honoring the prime directive (Heck if anything... The religious fanaticism towards the prime directive is one of the things newer Treks get REALLY REALLY wrong...). mean heck Star Fleet would probably still send an army if they found a borg cube crash landed on a populated planet of pre-warps.

Even some of the details of the Omega Molecules were fine like them possibly being the source of subspace and being also, by the same merit, able to destroy it (or at least render it useless for a unknown period of time).

The problem was EVERYTHING ELSE! Such as how mysteriously secret it is...

But then again... Interesting idea and lousy execution is Voyager's bread and butter... and this is coming from a guy who LOVES Voyager.

What!? Nooooo!

EDIT: seriously, I wanted to like Voyager. It just... kept... failing.  The whole thing to me just felt like it was trying to hard. The actors, the stories, everything just felt forced to me.  And the finale... just wasn't satisfying.

In all fairness the finale was pulled out of thin air as Janeway was saved by the one person who could save her... Janeway.

Speaking of Star Trek..
I myself, love TNG. Ton't care much about the series after. They are just.. Meh..
The Original series though, I don't really like them. Many of the episodes felt very.. pro-Muerica at times, which isn't very surprising.
Not to mention all the weird situations the crew got themselves into, and the explanations that seemed very WTF to me. (Such as all magic-like phenomenas seem to be hand-waved as "illusions".)

About the characters, I really dislike Kirk, he just seems like a massive jerk to me.
And Doctor McCoy just seemed he was there simply to be disagreeing with Spock, no matter if Spock was actually right about a subject or not.
However some characters I do like about the original series are Spock (that's a given), Lt Sulu (or whatever rank he was, I always forget), Uhura (Do I even need to mention why?), Scotty and.. uuh.. I think that's everyone I like in the orginal series..

Yeah...  Voyager might be my favorite of the series (TNG comes close) but the ending was pretty silly.
Heh, you know what would have been funny?  If one of those minor anomalies which saved them a few months from time to time...  Actually sent them near their initial location in the Delta quadrant.

And then, thanks to character development, Janeway would take one of the many directly-to-alpha quadrant macguffins which she'd vetoed previously for moral reasons.  "We have vital Borg intelligence and equipment, and this quadrant is full of dicks"

That was something I liked about the show, Janeway really did advance from "Prime Directive, Do No Harm, we must sacrifice ourselves for these violent aggressors!" to a more pragmatic "Try to make the quadrant a better place on our way out.  But they better get out of our way, because we matter too."

I bet against rule 34 earlier today.

I didn't even know I could still get new brain scars.

Is it not written, "Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons' sons"?

Spill the beans, pops. The things thine eyes have seen - what are they?

Undertale, despite several aspects of the protag (and the characters they interact with) that I would have expected to pose a problem, has a... devoted artisitic community.

Look people like what they like... and what they like they want to have sex with.

I mean don't you go to Taco Bell and go "Ohh gawd! I'd totally have sex with this Taco"?

Of course not... because Taco Bell is created by Satan...

Are you kidding? Its an indie rpg game created by a guy who composed stuff for homostuck and partly inspire by it, with anthropomorphic animal monster characters who are likely supergay. That thing would get infinite fanart even if it wasn't a decently fun game. This is the post deviantart internet we're talking about, the kind that haves shit even the oldest FurAfinity dwellers would cringe at.

This is going to sound *super* condescending, but I swear it's the honest truth...
Sometimes I kinda miss the times where that would surprise me at all.

On the other hand, the internet still has PLENTY of hilarious and horrible things for me.  Speaking of Undertale, I heard one (yes heard) that was SO ridiculous that I genuinely laughed for over a minute.
One word

Just one of those things reminds me I'm alive, heh, friends and horror/comedy (similar concepts).  That and angry internet arguments, but I've been (mostly) clean for a while now in that regard (:

But more power to people who don't *need* memes and lunacy to get through the day!  I'm jealous, not superior.

... yeah, I'm surprised that one is a surprise. Beyond having many of the signs of being susceptible, iirc the thing had porn floating around before it was even released. There's some things I might tentatively bet against r34 on (if perhaps only because actually checked and didn't find), but it didn't even occur to me that someone would think undertale wouldn't amass its quota of... art.
