The first British tanks were male or female, male tanks having large cannons while female tanks had anti-infantry machine guns.

The Mark I prototype nicknamed "Mother" retroactively became male, and tank designs carrying both cannons and anti-infantry weapons were called hermaphrodites.

Close. Both versions carried machine guns (the males carried several hull-mounted guns, while the females dispensed with most of these due to the sponson-mounted ones), and the purpose of the cannon was purely anti-infantry - a six-pound HE shell will silence any machine-gun nest or trench section. The females only existed because of a shortage of six-pounders caused by a massive increase in the initial Mark I tank order, but quickly became a standard variation because of the devastating enfilade fire they were able to provide. The hermaphrodites were an attempt to fit the males with defensive armament, as the Germans had begun to develop crude anti-tank tactics by the time the Mark IV entered service.

I remember when I was in elementary school and I was sent to the principle's office for writing "Fuck you" on a drawing I made... not even really intended for anyone... and not even really being aware I did anything wrong.

When I was in preschool I had a teacher step over me to get to the toybox, not realising that her billowy skirt would envelop me in a new and confusing world.
And then when I looked around to try and figure out why the universe had suddenly gone yellow I caused some panic in said teacher who proceeded to get quite stern and sent me to detention.

Preschool; and I had to write lines. I don't even know if I knew what lines were. I think I drew cats. But like, 100 lines of cats.

This morning I told my boss that it was a lovely april day (hint: it's not april), right now I am wearing a thin jacket, and if it wasn't for that fact that I don't own a long sleave shirt I would not even be wearing that.

Two years ago around this time one of the neighbors underground water lines froze (after many years of trouble free operation). Freezing that pipe required many days of below zero temperatures (in order to drive frost down that deep).

I guess the most consistent thing about the weather is how inconsistent it is year-to-year...

Or, well, the parts where they fought the Hunters, I have very low standards, and it did get a bit untethered later on.
I did like the side stories more, though.

Oh, right, WTF thread, I've been learning some basic chemistry and physics, and it is annoying me to no end that I can't figure out why Neutrons bother with attaching to Protons, the best I got was the Strong Nuclear Force, but I am way too low level to understand what half of the terms mean.
